Womens College Hospital (Canada)

For more than 100 years Women’s College Hospital (WCH) has been developing revolutionary advances in healthcare. Today, WCH is a world leader in the health of women and Canada’s leading, academic ambulatory hospital. A champion of health equity, WCH advocates for the health of all women from diverse cultures and backgrounds and ensures their needs are reflected in the care they receive. It focuses on delivering innovative solutions that address Canada’s most pressing issues related to population health, patient experience and system costs. The WCH Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) is developing new, scalable models of care that deliver improved outcomes for patients and sustainable solutions for the health system as a whole.
Women’s College Research Institute (WCRI) is tackling some of the greatest health challenges of our time. Its scientists are conducting global research that advances the health of women and improves healthcare options for all, and are then translating those discoveries to provide much-needed improvements in healthcare worldwide.

Wellbeing of Women (UK)

Wellbeing of Women is the charity dedicated to improving the health of women and babies across the UK. Every year the charity invests in special research projects and allocate funds towards the training of specialist doctors and midwives.
Established in 1964 Wellbeing of Women have enabled the major breakthrough's in obstetrics and gynaecology.

The charity:
  • Fund research into women’s gynaecological and reproductive health that is most likely to transform women’s healthcare.
  • Supply training grants to recruit and retain good doctors and midwives in gynaecology and obstetrics.
  • Provide women with information about their health and ensure the public are better informed about women’s health issues.
  • Work in partnership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to improve women's health.
  • Wellbeing of Women wants every woman to be empowered, more informed and confident to speak about their health problems.
My ambition is to raise much needed money and awareness for Wellbeing of Women so that the charity may continue to invest in medical research and the development of specialist doctors and nurses working in the field of reproductive and gynaecological health.

Hope for Tomorrow

Founded in 2003 Hope for Tomorrow aims to alleviate some of the stresses and strains associated with receiving treatment for Cancer.
In 2007 the charity launched the world’s first Mobile Chemotherapy Unit in a unique partnership with the NHS. Owned and maintained by the charity and operated by highly trained NHS staff, these well-equipped units allow cancer patients to receive treatment in a restful environment closer to home, saving stressful long distance travel and minimising waiting times. Mobile Chemotherapy Units can travel five days a week throughout their counties of operation to five set locations. These units have the capacity to treat up to twenty patients a day.

Each bespoke unit costs £260,000 to build and maintain over 3 years, the charity also provides each area of operation with a nurses support vehicle – this allows the chemotherapy nurses to travel freely between the Oncology Centre and Hope for Tomorrow’s Mobile Chemotherapy Unit.

My ambition is to raise the £260,000 to bring another Mobile Chemotherapy Unit into action - and to do this I'd be most grateful for your support….

The Paldorje Education Foundation was originally established to provide funding for Sherpa children to be educated through college and have a choice of careers. Following the Nepal Earthquake, the foundation expanded its focus to providing a more hopeful future for those thousands of children and families who have been impacted by the devastating earthquake on 25 April, 2015.
